I Have Too Much Time on My Hands

Well, that's what my dad said when my mom showed him the picture below. Ha, I say! With Matthew and Rhiannon gone by 5 a.m. and back between 8:00-10:30 p.m. some days, (I know, crazy right?), I need to keep myself busy. As if cleaning, cooking, baking, taking care of four dogs, a cat, and two exhausted students isn't enough work. Imagine if I had children to add to that equation...actually, I'd rather not. Ha. And you know, I've got a pretty good system going, and the animals are all really good for me. Oh, I'm also working part-time. Like 20 hours a week. Breadwinner! Haha, just kidding.

Anyway, as always, I'm often on Pinterest looking for fun ideas and recipes. When I was in St. Kitts, I would often drool and swoon over the many diy projects I'd find. Unfortunately, the craft/project resources in SK are...slim. So, being the idea hoarder that I am, I packed away all of these fun projects for when I returned to the great land of America.

With that said, here's the debut of my latest project(s).

In case you don't see what I'm seeing, Dawn, (the dish soap bottle-ess), has an apron. You know...because she's always getting her hands dirty. And of course I couldn't stop there. I just had to sew her a coordinating dishtowel. I'm thinking her little friend might need an apron too. What do you think? Oh, and yes, I also put together the cake stand. I bought a plain white dish and parfait glass from my local Goodwill, spray painted the glass silver, and then used Gorilla Glue to adhere the pieces together.

Clearly, I did not come up with these ideas on my own. I wish I was that creative! However, you can see the cake stand idea and the apron tutorial pinned onto my 'Raleigh House' pinboard.

Cheers!
