The beginning of March was a tad busy, as my parents were here visiting, as well as both Sami, (our other roommate), and Sarah, (friend from SK). It was a full house, but it was fun!
I was so happy to have my mom and dad here for a few days. I hadn't seen them since Christmas, so it was lovely to see familiar faces in my new NC digs. My dad kept busy with his handyman skills—fixing doors, drilling holes, rewiring electrical outlets, and bitching about our old rental house. Haha. My mom gave Sami and I cooking lessons, teaching us the art of making
lumpia and
pancit, popular Filipino dishes. And let me tell you, everything was delicious!
Matthew and I brought my parents to
Lake Johnson so they could see where we bring the dogs most days. My mom loved the trails and my dad was inspecting the different trees. We all agreed that North Carolina resembles western Michigan. We also brought my parents to the
State Farmer's Market Restaurant where they met some of our friends. Other activities included showing my mom Matthew's
vet school while we were out shopping one day, and running to Home Depot and Lowe's about a million times with my dad. What a hoot!
Here are some photos from their visit. :)

| While we were walking the indoor section of the Farmer's Market, we noticed these massive fans. The description made my parents laugh. |

| Big Ass Fans. Perfect. |

My parents were actually our first house guests and we were all so happy to have them here. I can't wait for them to visit again. In the mean time, who's visiting next??
