This year, my bday fell on a Sunday, and I was scheduled to work...because I totally forgot to request it off. Oh well. I guess that's what happens when you get older: you forget things. Matthew would disagree and comment that the Caribbean sun has fizzled my brain. However, he's not a writer on this blog, so we'll just ignore him. Ha!
Matty brought me downtown Raleigh for lunch at the Raleigh Times Bar. Afterwards, we had planned to explore the downtown area and then go to The Cupcake Shoppe. However, it was freezing and the bakery was closed. So...we headed home with full bellies, I took a nap, and then I later went to work with a cake I baked earlier that day. No, it was definitely not the most exciting birthday, but it was a good day nonetheless.
