Island Girl Goes Burrrrr!

What am I doing on this lovely Friday afternoon? Let me tell you: I'm sitting in the office blogging, when I should technically be at work. And what are Rhiannon and Matty doing? They're in the living room watching some alien/predator movie instead of learning something cool at school.

So you're probably wondering why we're all home when we should be elsewhere. The answer is because of this:

What do you mean you don't see anything weird? Don't you see that snow covering the walkway? Ding ding ding! We are all home because it's 24F outside and snowing—sort of. In all fairness, it's also pretty slick outside. I walked out to the mailbox and could see the bit of ice on our sidewalk.

Of course, I highly doubt anything was actually cancelled, but they may have experienced a few school delays. Nevertheless, I'm always thinking of my family and friends who are dealing with this kind of weather, and I pray that they are able to make it from point A to point B safely.

Anyway, that's my Friday afternoon update. Looks like I can enjoy a few movies with the roomies and a cup of hot chocolate. :)
