If you're currently reading this, you must be a reader from my
St. Kitts blog which I just wrapped up this evening. To you I say, "WELCOME!"
And moving on...we left Michigan on Tuesday, January 1st, and drove through the night. We arrived in North Carolina on Wednesday, January 2nd. Our road trip to Raleigh lasted about sixteen hours with all of the gas station stops and rest area breaks. Thankfully, we made it safely to our new destination without any hiccups in the plan. However, we were E X H A U S T E D, and our energy levels were almost depleted by the time we pulled into the driveway. When we arrived, Rhiannon and Sami, (our new roommates), were such a sight for sore eyes. They each gave us big hugs, which was awesome. I can't quite express to you how amazing it is to see people from your island family after leaving St. Kitts and returning to America. I just can't. But I can say
again how awesome it was to see familiar SK faces.
After quickly unpacking, Matty and I left to run errands. Yep, that's right. We stayed up. We did not take a nap. Why, you ask? Well, we didn't have a bed. That's why we drove through the night; we had to get to Raleigh during the daytime so we could go and purchase a bed set. And that we did. And then we went to the grocery store. And then we went to some other stores and spent more money...and yeah, it's kind of just a hazy memory now, seeing as though we hadn't slept since the morning before we left for NC.
Here are some pictures from our trip. There aren't many since it was mostly dark out while we were driving. Nonetheless, enjoy.

Sooooo, the point of this blog post is to tell you that
our road trip went well, and that we've successfully moved into our little Raleigh house. A big thank you goes out to all of our family and friends who kept us entertained during our sixteen hour road trip adventure.
